how do you build a training package and run a training session
Building + delivering training is a GPS deliverable. BUILD: 1) Define the LEARNING OBJECTIVE — what must the trainee be able to DO afterward? 2) Structure it in a logical order (intro → concept → hands-on → practice). 3) Use the right mix — theory, a live/demo/visual, and HANDS-ON practice (people learn by doing). 4) Make materials reusable (a guide the trainee can keep). DELIVER: 1) Explain the 'why' first so it sticks. 2) Check understanding as you go (ask, don't assume). 3) Give them a chance to DO it and make mistakes safely. 4) End with a quick assessment/quiz and follow-up. The one-line frame: 'A good training package teaches the why, shows the how, and lets them practice — because the real test is whether the trainee can do it when I'm not there.' You did this at Onto — prove it.
