what is the difference between cen and isb

CEN = Customer Engineering Notice. ISB = Internal Service Bulletin. Both communicate important technical/service information, but they differ by AUDIENCE. A CEN goes to the CUSTOMER (and customer-facing engineers) — it tells them about a change, a caution, a procedure they must follow, or a safety/quality notice. An ISB is INTERNAL — it goes to your own field/CE/TPS organization about how to service or fix something. WHY IT MATTERS: GPS writes both. The skill is knowing who the audience is and calibrating the technical depth and tone — a CEN must be clear to a customer, an ISB can assume internal tool knowledge. When asked, lead with 'the difference is audience' — that's the insight they want, not just the acronyms.
