tell me about a time you failed
The panel wants SELF-AWARENESS, not a disaster story. Pick a real setback that wasn't catastrophic. S/T: a project/approach that didn't work. A: what you tried, where it broke down. R: what you LEARNED and what you'd DO DIFFERENTLY. Crucially: show the failure didn't define you — show recovery/lesson. A strong example for you: a first hypothesis in a diagnosis turned out wrong; what you learned is to test assumptions with data early. Never blame the customer, a coworker, or bad luck. The formula: honest ownership + real lesson + changed behavior. That reads as mature and safe to hire — which is what this final panel is screening for.
