STAR story. S: you had to ramp on something unfamiliar quickly on the job. T: you owned getting up to speed under time pressure. A: you were systematic — you used the docs/experts, then tested your understanding hands-on, and asked smart questions instead of guessing. R: you were productive in a specific, short time (add a number). For you: ramping from test engineer into systems/NPI at Onto, or into ellipsometry as SME, or learning a new metrology method. The panel looks for METHOD + SPEED + NO BLUFFING. The closing line: 'I learn by doing, and I'd rather confirm with the tool/data than pretend I know.' That's the GPS mindset.
